Job Title: Admission Assistant

 GENERAL SUMMARY:

This position is responsible

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Enter all prospective student applications in a timely and accurate manner utilizing Jenzabar and EMP systems – 50%
  • Execute data specific tasks – including Jenzabar upgrade related tasks – 20%
  • Back-up front desk as needed – 10%
  • Support campus visits and special visit programs – 10%
  • Provide office support through the completion of miscellaneous tasks – 5%
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor – 5%

Additional Duties:

  • Work with Admission Representatives on timely admission of qualified students to CMU.
  • Assist with answering incoming calls and greeting visitors to the admissions office.
  • Other duties as assigned by VP for EM or as needed.

 MANAGERIAL/SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

 None

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or GED Required

 Deliver exceptional customer service to internal and external customers.  Maintain a positive work attitude and be able to balance multiple tasks at the same time.  The candidate should have experience working in Word and Excel, and be skilled in managing basic office tasks. 

 Preferred Qualifications:

 Associate Degree

Experience working with Jenzabar and EMP

1 – 2 years of experience working in a fast-paced office environment

 PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Routinely lift more than 10 pounds and periodically spend extended periods standing or sitting.

 OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

General office equipment skills required

 OTHER INFORMATION AND ATTRIBUTES:

This position is set in a typical office work environment.  Occasional weekends or evenings may be required.
